Motivational Stories – Change Your Mindset!

Motivational Stories – Change Your Mindset!

Motivational Stories – Change Your Mindset!

For a long time, I suffered from social anxiety and depression. It was early in the twenties that I managed to fight over it. What can I do to prevent relapses?

Motivational stories is a method I have found quite useful in the last years. It has helped me to stay focus on my goals and NOTHING ELSE! The world doesn’t care about you, you are just a fraction of humanity, and it’s up to you to keep moving forward.

What does this have to do with business? Everything. Either you’re at school, fighting depression, building a business or working out, we need to keep motivated. We need to keep fighting to reach our goals!

Here we’re going to talk about how powerful motivational stories can be!

Your Surroundings Is Just A Distraction!

We focus on what’s happening around us. We follow the mainstream and do not think for ourselves. If you are to succeed in life, then we must detach ourselves from our friends and acquaintances.

You have to make a decision.

SELF RESPECT: You sacrifice everything, to achieve your goals.

SELFISH: You do whatever you want, and only care about yourself.

If you have managed to choose the right choice, then the tricky part starts.

Even before we start, we already gave up. The motivation doesn’t exist, and we start making excuses.

What are the excuses?

Are you too tired?

Didn’t you get enough sleep?

Not enough time or money?

Were you bullied when you were young?

 There’s always something!

We make our decision on what we can touch, see and hear. Why should we listen to narrow-minded and ignorant people who have not gotten anyway in life? We must start looking at people who have achieved success in life!

How do you stay Motivated?

Social Media

There are endless pages you can follow on social media, so choose wisely!

Here you will find success stories, famous quotes from successful people, inspirational videos and more!

Here are some examples

Snapchat: 8 Legends to Follow On Snapchat to Bring Your Life to The Next Level

Sylvester Stallone

He’s the man that inspired me the most, Sylvester Stallone!

He did not just inspire me; it showed me that ANYONE could do anything!

He fought for his dream and got rejected time after time. Finally, he got the breakthrough and achieved his goals!

You must fail a hundred times to succeed once.

One of many quotes by Sylvester Stallone, one of the greatest movie stars!

The most logical place to look for videos on Youtube. Here you will find professional practitioners who talk about motivation with intense music and build up the mood. Here you’ll find stories, speeches, and quotes. The movie soundtrack is also great for inspiring.

Here are some examples:

  • Ben Lionel Scott
  • Prince Ea
  • TEDx talks
  • Be Inspired

TED is an annual American conference, initially launched in 1984. The conference aims to spread ideas through lectures and performances in research, arts, technology, education, design, politics, economics, culture, business, and entertainment. It is also one of the best places to watch stories of motivation.

You can also download the app TED to your phone.

Spotify

You will find a lot same on Spotify which is anywhere else, but with better quality. Spotify is a tool for you which are in a situation you can’t watch anything.

The number one motivational speeches on Spotify, in my opinion, is Fearless Motivationhttps://open.spotify.com/artist/1FhamVtJlNqaekPnwxQpbk?si=a3FbVow7Tcuo8iVmrQPf2A

Facts tell, story sell

An entrepreneur can sell anything, just telling their story. When you tell your story, you share a piece of yourself. You will achieve respect, and people will like you.

It doesn’t matter how excellent the service or product is, as long as the story around it is a masterpiece.

A great example is a Youtube video by Dan Lok. How to sell anything to anyone anytime. Sell me this pen !https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6Csz_hvXzw

In this video, he explains the importance of storytelling for a product. That we don’t buy because of quality, but with emotions.

To the Haters

To those who say that motivation videos are not working and the tellers are the only one who gains from it.

You are wrong!

Everything is about your psyche, so to be motivated, we must be driven by something. No one will come to you and prompt you. You have to do it yourself, find your way. Don’t listen to others, but yourself!

It works for me, and it will work for you

Do you want to share your success story, then comment below! I would love to read it!

Hi Oystein!
It’s awesome to hear positive stories like yours and I love your positivity. I myself listen to motivational speakers. The first man to truly kind of kick me in the butt and get me focused on success was Brian Tracy. I also have books and listen to Tony Robbins as well as so many others. Motivational videos and music are all awesome tips. I’ve learned the number one success tip for entrepreneurs is who they choose to surround themselves with. I heard a quote the other day that said “Why quack like a duck, when you can soar like an eagle?”
Yassss! I want to be an eagle! I look forward to hearing more from you in the future:)!

I’m glad you liked it 🙂 It’s exactly that. We become like those we surround our self with!

Thanks for the motivational reminder and the additional resources for pumping me up. I’m still waiting for (or better working towards) my breakthrough. It’s sometimes hard to keep going, when you have the feeling that no matter what you try, you’re standing still. I heard the story of a very successful salesmen, who knew that statistically out of 10 calls he made 1 sale. So he welcomed every rejection, because it brought him closer to his sale. Perfect mindset.

I heard a story some time ago, of someone who tried over 1000 times, and he still did not quit. He said: I found over 1000 ways that did not work, but I just need 1!

It’s great to be so positive when it’s far easier not to be. Wow. I use motivational podcasts from time to time or TED. Especially when it is such a busy time for me with the light at the end of the tunnel very dim that I can hardly see it.
Thanks for the post. Everyone should read it.

    Cheers mate 🙂

Nice Article Oystein, I have used all those excuses in the past and in one way or another I have had to draw my motivation from external sources. My go to is YouTube and do yourself a favor, search Jocko Motivation – Good and let me know what you think 🙂

    Øystein Posted on12:00 pm - Sep 28, 2018

Jocko Motivation is inspiring, but I need to put my phone upside down. Looking at them talking was kinda strange to me, haha 😀

Wow this was so helpful. I’ve recently started trying to reach some new goals and when they seem impossible I do find reading some motivational material really helps. I hadn’t thought of using spotify, snapchat and Instagram though! It would certainly be a better use of my time than what I normally end up scrolling pointlessly through and looking at on Instagram!

    Øystein Posted on11:55 am - Sep 28, 2018

Why listen to music on Spotify, when you can be motivated. Why watch your friends and celebrities on Snapchat and Instagram, when you can be motivated. 🙂
